Denise Treizman is an artist born in Chile, currently based in New York City, who has an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts. (NY, 2013) Her work has been exhibited in several cities of the world, including Santiago (Chile), Valparaiso (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Shanghai (China) and the United States in San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, New Jersey and New York.

She is a recipient of multiple awards including a fellowship at the Bronx’s Museum Artist-in-the-Marketplace Program (2015), a Robert Sterling Clark Foundation fellowship for a residency at Vermont Studio Center (2014), SVA’s Paula Rhodes award for excellence (2013) and a studio membership at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in NYC. (2015-present).

  She has participated in several residencies among them: Berlin Collective/APT Institute (NY, 2013), Vermont Studio Center (VT, 2014), Ox-Bow (MI, 2014), NARS Foundation (NY, 2015), ACRE Residency (WI, 2015) Triangle Workshop (NY, 2015) and Mass Moca Assets for the Artists (MA, 2016). She is also mentor for NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Program in NYC. 

Treizman created an interactive public artwork for FLOW.16 (Randall’s Island Park, NY) and has had a solo exhibitions at Cuchifritos Gallery (NY, 2016), Wave Hill’s Sunroom Project Space (NYC, 2016-upcoming), and Soho20 Gallery +/- Project Space (NYC, 2017-upcoming).
